Meeting of riders and collectors of racing bicycles was organized first time in 2012. This year Mr. Ondra Huleš who organized this event prepared an exhibition with emphases on brand Štantejský Praha and Helyett.

I would especially like to thank Ivan Hořejší who prepared nice backgroung for photos (the same motiv which was used on original photo with Christian Battaglia many years ago) and all the people who cooperated in organizing this event, making it possible for other to attend.

Battaglia – cyclonostalgia 2014

In 1983 Campagnolo also released a special group for their 50th anniversary. It was much more beautiful than the current offering. The group was based on the Super Record and Cobalto group of the era and was top of the range, with some significant extra touches. Most pieces were marked by a 22 carrot gold logo with a raised/textured Campagnolo shield logo. All pieces contained an engraved signature of Tullio Campagnolo, and a special "50th" logo.

Sterling Cycle Co.

Produced the "Sterling" model in Chicago, II., in c. 1894-99. The headbadge carries the legend "Built like a watch". The shaft-drive has straight pull spoke hubs designed to minimise breakage. The company was taken over by the Pope Manufacturing Co. which re-badged the shaft-drive as its "Columbia" and used the name "Sterling" up to 1909.

This new fantactic book (320 pages and more than 500 photographs) was printed in 2013, so it is interesting for lovers an antique bicycles and motorcycles, because common theme is "TRACK".

Peace Race - "Course de la Paix" was the biggest cycling race around the World for non-professional racers, which was organized between Prague, Warsaw and Berlin. The first volume was in 1948 and last In 2003. Next three years (2004 - 2006) it was local race in the Czech republic only under the same name. Next years this race was not organized because sponsors was not interested. It was really big and very famous race especially before 1989 and for a few generation of racers it was absolutely top peak their career.

Josef Regec, ex member the Czech cycling team for Peace Race who spent ten days in yellow jersey try to organize this race again under new name "New Peace Race" from 2014. We wish to him success for this idea.

Czech Velocipedist Club 1880 Organize Small Meeting in Prague for Celebration "The End of Season" since 1993.

The bicycle has a long and gloriol history in the Czech lands. The poet Jan Kollár road on a bicycle in the year the first machine with two Wheel in a single track was invented (Karl Drais, 1917). The first boneshaker – real machine with pedals on the axis of the front wheel appeared in France latter 1865 and Václav Vondřich rode one of four years later during the ceremonial placing of the cornerstone of the National Theatre. Real cycling fever broke out in this country in 1880 by Kohout Brother and Czech Velocipedist Club „ČKV 1880“.

Full name for this factory is: "Československá Zbrojovka Akciová společnost v Brně". It is absolutelly complet bike from period between two World Wars in original condition. This bike coming from original owner´s family and it was not restored, not cleaned and not rebuilted. Especially nice is original paint made in top quality still with high shine after more 75 years.
