High wheel, LIGHT model, France - 50" circa 1880

An interesting high wheel from the first years of high wheel production in France.

Project for renovation. Interesting front brake pressed by rotating handlebars like on velocipedes.

Very nice saddle spring and its floating mount on the frame.

The rear wheel and part of the brake are missing.
