Museo del Ciclismo Gino Bartali, Florencie - Italy
The “Gino Bartali” Cycling Museum is located in Florence in via Chiantigiana, near Ponte a Ema, and was opened in April 2006. The museum is dedicated to cycling lovers and to the fans of Gino Bartali, born right here in 1914.
The first room is in fact a tribute to the great champion, nicknamed “Ginettaccio,” cyclist and serviceman who won three Giri d’Italia, two Tour de France and other trophies in the 1930s and 40s. The second room is about other renowned cyclists, with their biographies and various jerseys. The third room is home to period bicycles from the 1800s to the mid-1900s, including those used by champions such as Fausto Coppi and Giuseppe Olmo. Most of the objects on display were donated by cycling enthusiasts and associations.

Cyclofficina Luciano Berruti - Gaiole in Chianti – Italy
Luciano Berruti was literally a symbol of the history of sports and racing cycling with his visage and love for cycling. When he died in 2017, his legacy remained here and became even more intense. In 2024, a great idea was realized - to move his authentic bicycle workshop from his house to Giale and open it to the public at the Casa Eroica site. A few centuries ago, such a space would have been called a Wunderkammer – chamber of wonders in Italian – what was for years a bicycle workshop, in which Luciano Berruti combined extraordinary objects with endless stories from the past. Now this place, which contains the most intense legacy handed down to the world by an icon of heroic cycling, lives again in his beloved Gaiole in Chianti, opening that magical passage that connects today with yesterday.

A small private museum with a complete cross-section of the development of the bicycle. Racing cycling and military bikes have their important place. Open by appointment only.
In 2022, we made an appointment, visited the place, the owner was at home, he lives directly above the exhibition, but our delay was not understood and the museum remained closed to us. They were more accommodating in a small bar nearby.

The museum is a cross-section of Italian history from the 1920s to the 1960s and has social and educational value. This is an absolutely typical presentation of the history of the bicycle in Italy. Almost every museum or collection has some kind of "craftsman" bike. Here it is in full representation. The bicycles in the collection are original. The year of manufacture of the bicycles cannot be determined precisely, as they underwent constant changes based on the wishes of the owners.
